Consultant - Sensor Innovation & Insight Specialist (m/f/d)

In this role you drive sensor innovation for next‑gen consumer electronics and IoT, leading cross‑functional R&D projects with universities and industry partners. You shape the sensor tech roadmap, translate research into actionable plans, and guide long‑term investments. You collaborate with product teams to align innovations with market needs and establish strategic partnerships. • Draft proposals and lead joint research programs with academic and industrial partners
• Advance high‑performance, low‑power sensor solutions and cross‑device sensor fusion concepts
• Design, prototype and validate novel sensor architectures to boost performance
• Identify emerging sensor trends and assess commercialization potential
• Translate academic findings into executable business strategies and product roadmaps
• Provide guidance on long‑term R&D priorities and investment opportunities
• Collaborate with engineering, product development and business teams to align sensor innovations with market demands
• Establish and sustain partnerships with world‑leading academic bodies and industry alliances

• Extensive R&D and deployment experience with consumer electronics sensors (IMUs, optical, magnetic, biosensors, gas sensors)
• Hands‑on hardware prototyping: PCB design, embedded systems, signal processing
• Practical AI/ML experience applied to sensor data processing
• Proven track record in technology scouting, benchmarking, and translating research trends into products
• Experience leading international R&D collaborations, ideally with academia, corporate labs or startups
• Advanced degree in relevant disciplines
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on sensor technology development, with international collaboration exposure
