Own and shape CRM at Nitrado end-to-end — from acquisition to retention. Work cross-functionally with BI, Product, and Marketing to build data-driven lifecycle journeys. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with high ownership in a fast-evolving setup.
Lifecycle strategy and execution: Define and manage the full user communication lifecycle across Nitrado and Apex Hosting — welcome flows, onboarding sequences, renewal triggers, win-back campaigns, and milestone moments. Build journeys that are event-driven and segment-aware, not batch-and-blast. Segmentation and audience management: Work with BI to understand the data model and identify the signals that matter — game type, server activity, purchase history, churn risk. Translate those into actionable segments within the CRM platform. Own the marketing layer of audience logic; BI owns the data foundation. Platform ownership: Own the marketing configuration of the CRM platform (currently in evaluation between Customer.io and Braze). Manage templates, automation logic, send rules, suppression lists, and deliverability hygiene. Work with AI-assisted features within these platforms to improve personalisation at scale. Campaign integration: Be the CRM interface for campaign launches, game releases, promotional events, and product updates. Gather inputs from marketing, product, and support; translate them into email execution with clear segmentation and timing logic. Performance reporting: Define and maintain CRM performance metrics — open rates, click rates, conversion, unsubscribe rates, deliverability, revenue attribution where measurable. Report to the VP of Marketing on a regular cadence. Flag problems early.
You bring 3+ years of hands-on CRM or lifecycle marketing experience, with a proven track record of owning segmentation, automation, and full-scale campaign execution. Unlike traditional coordinators, you are experienced in working directly with data and BI teams to build and maintain your own audience segments from the ground up. You possess a solid understanding of email deliverability, list hygiene, and GDPR compliance within the European market. On a technical level, you are proficient in at least one modern marketing automation platform (such as Customer.io, Braze, Klaviyo, or Iterable) at a configuration level and are comfortable reading and writing HTML/CSS for email templating. As we are currently migrating from Mailchimp to a new stack (evaluating Customer.io and Braze), you will play a key role in finalizing this setup using our BI‑managed infrastructure and Tableau. Your approach is defined by an analytical mindset; you interpret your own data and provide evidence-based recommendations rather than waiting for instructions. You thrive in environments with shifting priorities and incomplete documentation, valuing direct, performance-oriented feedback. Proficiency in English is essential as our operational language, while German skills or experience in gaming, entertainment, or consumer subscriptions are a distinct advantage. Please note that this role is specifically designed for a builder: it is likely not the right fit if you prefer fully established systems over setup phases, or if you prioritize creative autonomy over operational discipline and results‑driven collaboration. You will be the central driver across BI, Product, Support, and Performance Marketing to ensure our CRM strategy is both scalable and high-impact.
