Data Annotator for AI Models - Italian (USA)

Location: Remote – eligible in the following U.S. states: CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, MA, MN, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OK, OR, PA, TN, TX, WA, WI.

Work schedule: Full‑time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST (Pacific Standard Time).

Contract duration: End of September, 2026. Compensation: $20 per hour.

We are seeking Italian‑speaking data annotators to support AI model training by evaluating and curating text, video, and geographic data.

Responsibilities:

• Annotate data accurately and consistently according to predefined guidelines.
• Perform basic research as needed to ensure accurate annotation.
• Provide feedback on observed patterns and contribute to continuous improvement of the annotation process.
• Maintain high attention to detail and quality throughout the annotation process.
• Learn and adapt to evolving requirements, asking questions when needed.
• Participate in post‑hire training.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and client stakeholders through regular video calls to discuss guidelines, quality expectations, and project updates.

Job requirements:

• Native‑level proficiency in Italian.
• Excellent comprehension and written communication skills in English.
• Located in one of the eligible U.S. states listed above.
• Ability to work full‑time from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Familiarity with Excel or Google Sheets, including basic formulas.
• Strong communication, detail‑orientation, and deadline‑management skills.
• Responsible, reliable, and communicative.
• Must successfully pass a client exam and interview with the hiring team.
• Personal laptop/desktop to access RWS systems.

Preferred qualifications:

• Familiarity with the Appen Annotation Platform (ADAP) and machine learning principles.
• A broad range of interests with specific areas of expertise.
• Experience in a professional work environment.
• Previous experience with data annotation tasks.
