Data Architect - Data & AI Platforms (Databricks Focus) - Tieto Tech Consulting (Fully Remote)

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of lakehouse-based data platforms using Databricks and modern cloud technologies.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them modernize legacy data landscapes into cloud-native, Databricks-driven platforms.
• Establish best practices for Data engineering using Spark/PySpark and Data governance with Unity Catalog.

Requirements

• 8-10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or similar roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Databricks platform, Apache Spark/PySpark, and distributed data processing.
• Proven experience designing and implementing lakehouse architectures (Delta Lake) and data modeling.
