Database Administrator – MariaDB, MySQL, Cassandra, SQL Server

Design, implement, and maintain scalable database architectures
Monitor database performance, optimize queries, and troubleshoot issues
Manage backups, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries and structures
Ensure database security and compliance with organizational policies
Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations
Automate routine database tasks using scripts or tools
Provide support for database-related issues during development and production
Develop and manage ETL processes
Collaborate with software development teams to design database architectures for new features
Implement data transformation and migration pipelines between databases

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including MariaDB, MySQL, Cassandra, and SQL Server
Intermediate–advanced spoken English level (B2+)
Proficiency in SQL, database design, and optimization
Knowledge of database migration techniques and tools
Experience with data modeling and normalization
Strong understanding of indexing, partitioning, and query optimization
Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures
Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments
Experience with database performance monitoring and profiling tools preferred
Familiarity with version control systems such as Azure DevOps preferred
Ability to perform the stated physical requirements, including sitting, manipulating objects/tools/controls, reaching, talking, and hearing
