Director (m/f/d) Cost Management - Construction Projects

In this role you will lead cost management for complex real estate projects, interfacing with clients to drive excellent outcomes. You will steer pre- and post-contract cost planning, estimation, procurement, and value engineering while managing multi-disciplinary teams. The position combines strategic oversight with hands-on project delivery and client-facing leadership. • Provide estimate and cost planning, including final estimate delivery
• Estimate at conceptual, programming, and detailed levels
• Compile feasibility studies
• Prepare procurement reports and manage procurement processes
• Lead pre-qualification, tender lists, analysis, and tender reports; prepare contractual documents
• Manage post-contract cost variances and change control processes
• Oversee cost checks and valuation deliverables for large projects; ensure timeliness and accuracy
• Produce monthly cost reports and present findings to clients
• Lead value engineering initiatives and negotiate/finalise accounts
• Maintain liaison with client and other consultants across project stages
• Provide leadership to cost management teams and ensure delivery of services scope
• Identify opportunities to develop new business and improve cost management procedures

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in cost management
• Experience leading cost management commissions for large, high-complexity construction projects
• Strong knowledge of procurement routes, value management/engineering, and life cycle costing
• People management experience in project delivery
• Solid understanding of MEP systems and civil/structural/architectural aspects as they relate to projects
• German language skills advantageous; English required
• RICS accreditation a plus
• Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills
• Strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task and work in a team
• Working knowledge of MS Office and modern cost management digital tools
