Director (m/f/d) Life Insurance Capital & Reinsurance Advisory

As Director in Life Insurance Capital & Reinsurance Advisory, you drive capital optimization and risk transfer strategies for EMEA life insurers. You’ll work with C-suite and senior leaders to originate opportunities, shape strategic capital solutions, and guide cross-border reinsurance projects. You will collaborate across advisory, broking, actuarial, and M&A teams to deliver integrated client solutions and grow the firm’s market presence. This role offers impact through influencing capital strategy and executing key transactions in a global environment.

• Develop and deepen relationships with CEOs, CFOs, CROs, and other senior decision-makers across EMEA life insurers
• Act as a trusted advisor on capital, risk, financial resilience, growth, and strategic transactions
• Lead and execute capital optimization discussions and solutions
• Originate, develop, and execute reinsurance opportunities; coordinate with broking teams
• Identify market trends, contribute to sales strategy and pipeline, and develop thought leadership
• Mentor and lead junior team members and foster cross-regional collaboration

• 10+ years in life insurance, consulting, reinsurance, investment banking, actuarial advisory, or capital management
• Strong understanding of Solvency II and regulatory capital frameworks
• Experience with life insurance balance sheets, capital management, and risk transfer structures
• Proven track record in dealing with senior client stakeholders and executing strategic transactions
• Strong commercial and business development skills
• Established network within the EMEA life insurance industry (preferred)
