Team / Division Overview

DWS’s data infrastructure team is responsible for providing the secure, scalable and trustworthy foundation for storing, processing and distributing critical enterprise data. As a Senior Security Engineer you’ll focus on understanding the threat landscape, designing and implementing security frameworks for our core data platforms and collaborating with CSO and vendors.

Role Details

• Design and implement security frameworks and components on data platforms and underlying cloud service providers, ensuring compliance with our security policies.
• Deploy and manage data infrastructure services on Snowflake, GCP and Azure, using Infrastructure‑as‑Code to automate resource provisioning and security configurations.
• Manage and optimise GitHub Actions & Runners for seamless CI/CD pipeline automation, implementing and maintaining security best practices and ensuring compliance throughout the development lifecycle.
• Configure, manage and optimise internal security solutions for efficient threat detection and response, collaborating with cross‑functional teams and vendors.
• Document infrastructure processes, configurations and operational workflows to improve knowledge sharing and process efficiency.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience securing critical enterprise data flows on Snowflake or similar platforms, including DLP, access control design and data protection.
• Experience in DevSecOps practices, infrastructure automation, IaC (e.g., Terraform) and security tool integrations.
• Good knowledge of SIEM tools and technologies, such as Google SecOps, and in‑depth knowledge of cloud services and best practices for cloud security.
• Very good programming skills in Python, Java or a similar language.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a passion for cybersecurity and a strong aptitude for identifying and solving security challenges in enterprise environments.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Fundamental hands‑on experience in cloud security, preferably GCP; a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field is a plus.
