Electrical Integration Engineer – Space Systems (d/m/w)

The position holder (d/m/w) works as Electrical Integration Engineer – Space Systems (AIT Engineer / ME Harness & Alignment Processes).

Your Tasks

• Define standard documentation for flight hardware on satellites with a focus on electrical harness integration and alignment in a digital environment (DDMS)
• Estimate standard times for harness integration and alignment of flight hardware on satellites
• Evaluate Risk Priority Numbers (RPN) associated with defined processes and lead Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) when required
• Prepare process workflows for electrical harness integration, documentation and alignment of flight hardware on satellites, taking internal and external requirements into account
• Collect and implement feedback from production teams to continuously improve processes and documentation
• Support production teams in solving technical issues
• Manage subcontractors responsible for documentation of flight hardware on satellites, focusing on electrical harness integration and alignment
• Participate in Non-Conformance Review Boards (NRBs) for root cause analysis and solution development
• Collaborate with other Airbus sites and European subcontractors

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable qualification
• Advanced application knowledge of SAP
• Experience with CAD software such as DDMS and CATIA is desirable
• Strong technical understanding of satellite mechanisms and system elements, with several years of relevant experience in harness and alignment activities
• Experience in high-quality harness integration, preferably for space components, and alignment equipment such as laser trackers and theodolites
• Experience with the function and application of electrical components is a strong advantage
• Knowledge of manufacturing and integration standards within the aerospace industry
• Experience in measurement technology (mechanical and electrical)
• Fluent English and proficient German
