Cardino

Engagement Manager – Deployment Strategist, Enterprise (m/w/d)

Stellenbeschreibung:

Cardino is a Berlin-based company founded in 2022. We build the remarketing operating system for European fleets - the software leasing companies, rental operators and OEMs use to sell used vehicles out of their fleets under their own brand. Inspection, pricing, distribution, compliance. Live in more than ten European markets.

We got here the hard way: before we were a software company, we bought and sold thousands of used vehicles ourselves. Every workflow in the platform exists because we ran it manually first and knew exactly why it was broken.

The timing is deliberate. Chinese OEMs are moving into Europe faster than any incumbent planned for, EV residual values swing month to month, and the fleets, leasing companies and OEMs sitting on hundreds of thousands of vehicles have to sell them - across borders, under their own brand, faster than their tooling allows. That dislocation is the market we build for, and it is only widening.

We run a deliberately lean senior team, which means the surface area per person is unusually large. You will own entire enterprise relationships across a dozen markets, from signed contract to live deployment to the expansion that comes after. Enterprise customers put real volume through what we build, and you will be the person they call. No layers between you and them.

About the role

The work sits on a specific tension: you are the client's person inside Cardino and Cardino's person inside the client. Enterprise customers want every request treated as the only priority - and it should be. The platform stays white-label and multi-market precisely because one client's need becomes something the whole platform gains, so every customer benefits from what we build for one. Being the fiercest advocate for the account while turning each request into durable, shared capability is the job, not a compromise between them.

You will shape which enterprise customers we take on and how we deploy them directly with the founders, and you will do it while running the accounts yourself rather than managing from a distance.

One problem waiting for you: a new market goes live. The local team on the client side runs a different process than the reference market, their data feeds carry different fields, and the ask lands as "just make it work the way it does for the others." Turning that into a scoped change the platform can absorb - something every market benefits from rather than a one-off - while the client feels heard and stays live, is the work. Each of these deserves a senior owner who lives the relationship full-time. That's why this role exists.

What you'll do

  • Own enterprise accounts end to end - the relationship, the rollout, the commercial health
  • Turn client requests into scoped, buildable specs the product and engineering teams can act on
  • Drive multi-market deployments from signed to live to actively adopting
  • Turn one account's needs into shared capability that strengthens the platform for every market
  • Shape product and go-to-market direction alongside the founders

Who you are

  • You own outcomes, not handoffs - a client is live, adopting and expanding, or it is not done
  • You translate in both directions and add signal each way - you are not a relay or a ticket-router
  • You are credible with senior client stakeholders and treated as a peer in the room
  • You are product-literate enough to argue trade-offs with engineers without hand-waving
  • You think in euros: you know what an account is worth and where the platform creates the most leverage
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and energized by small-team impact

What you bring

  • A track record owning complex enterprise relationships and delivering on them - management consulting at engagement-manager level, enterprise SaaS delivery or solutions, forward-deployed or deployment-strategist roles, or technical account management at the serious end
  • Structured problem-solving - you decompose messy client situations fast
  • Excellent communication skills - you can bridge technical and commercial discussions credibly

Nice to have

  • Experience deploying white-label or OEM-branded software
  • Exposure to automotive, fleet, leasing, insurtech or marketplace domains
  • Ex-consulting background with an operating stint since
  • A European language beyond English, and a willingness to travel to client sites

What working here looks like

  • Direct access to the founders - you will be in the room where product and commercial decisions get made, not briefed on them afterwards
  • You are the direct contact for the enterprise customers running volume through the platform
  • Hybrid working, with a WeWork office when you want a desk and the team around you
  • Permanent contract and 30 days of annual leave

We are looking for ambitious people who want to build the infrastructure European fleets run on.
