Your prospective job:

You are acting as an Engineering Automation Specialist (m/f/d) for our client Airbus Operations in Hamburg-Finkenwerder.

Your responsibilities:

• Workflow & Data Automation ETL (extract, transform, load) Pipeline Development
• Automating the "Format A at Position B to Format C at Position D" process by creating scripts (usually Python) to extract, transform, and transfer data between disparate engineering databases
• Creating "glue code" to allow seamless data transfer between analysis software, internal Airbus databases, and reporting tools
• Identifying manual spreadsheet‑based calculations within our calculation processes and converting them into automated, version‑controlled web apps or scripts
• Developing templates and automated generators for stress dossiers to ensure consistency across the department
• Maintaining and optimizing the team's digital libraries for current and historical data
• Acting as the first line of support when automated engineering tools or scripts encounter issues
• Analyzing the current "daily routines" to identify bottlenecks where manual handling is prone to human error or significant time loss
• Training your team members on how to use new digital tools and basic automation principles to augment their own work
• Acting as the liaison between the stress team and other IT and software‑related departments to ensure the team's needs are reflected

Your profile:

• Completed studies in Compuer Science, Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or comparable
• Work experience in the field of Engineering and IT/Information Systems
• Basic knowledge in Project Management
• Experience in Unix, Java, Python and Google Workspace
• Airbus experience is a plus
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS) is a plus
• Fluent English skills, written and spoken
• German skills would be an advantage
