Engineering Manager (Fintech): Leading and growing the Bring a Friend development team with an accent on people management, process scaling, and high-impact delivery for referral programs. Focus on balancing 80% management responsibilities with 20% hands-on technical contributions, shaping backend architecture in Golang, and mentoring engineers to ensure high-quality software solutions.

Location: Flexible, remote or hybrid work. Relocation support provided to Cyprus, Serbia, or Spain.

What you will do

• Lead and manage the Bring a Friend engineering team, overseeing delivery and feature prioritization.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and mentorship to team members to enable professional growth.

• Drive architectural decisions and contribute hands‑on to backend services using Golang.
• Manage cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder communication to align with business goals.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience managing small engineering teams (5‑8 people) in fast‑paced environments.
• 4+ years of professional development experience with Golang.
• Strong background in hiring, development, performance management, and delivery.
• Proven ability to participate in architectural discussions and validate technical solutions.
• Excellent diplomacy and skills in cross‑functional partnership and advocacy.
• Experience in optimizing software development processes such as planning and decomposition.
