Overview
System Design Responsible for Communication Systems (m/f/d) – Donauwörth. The role supports the design, development, integration and certification of Navigation & Communication Systems on Airbus Helicopters platforms. You will join the Navigation & Communication systems design office team to manage current and future projects and contribute to the center of design, development & certification of navigation systems.
Your Location
Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, where we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product and operate an on-site test airfield.

Responsibilities
- End-to-end responsibility for the development, integration, qualification and certification of Communication Systems
- Follow the V-cycle development process and contribute to operational concepts and use cases for Communication Systems
- Requirement engineering, system specification and design
- Integration of Communication Systems (mechanical, electrical, functional)
- Definition of integration, verification and validation strategy
- Support to rig, ground and flight testing of the respective system
- Ensure system qualification and certification at hardware/colocation (H/C) level
- Supplier management to secure technical requirements of development contracts
- Ensure project execution in accordance with overall H/C level planning
- Stakeholder management across the organization (project management, procurement, sales, etc.)
- Participation in offer management and contribution to product sourcing policy
- Benchmark state-of-the-art Communication systems and technologies
- Contribute to definition of implementation roadmap and product strategy for Communication Systems
- Support knowledge exchange within Airbus and represent AH externally (e.g., EASA/FAA/EUROCAE working groups)
Qualifications
- Academic studies in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar
- Understanding of Systems Engineering methodologies and practical application
- Experience in system design, development, engineering and/or integration of complex Communication systems
- Knowledge in systems engineering, requirements engineering and integration in avionics
- Experience in Supplier Management
- Team spirit, good communication skills and stakeholder management
- Language skills: English business fluent; knowledge of French, German or Spanish is advantageous
