Experienced Business Analyst, Consultant

Responsibilities

• Analyze, structure and document processes.
• Capture, analyze and structure existing business processes at the client.
• Identify weaknesses, dependencies and potential areas for optimization.
• Model processes using structured notations (e.g. BPMN or equivalent methods).
• Translate business requirements into clearly structured requirements and decision‑making materials.
• Provide consulting in IT‑related contexts.
• Work closely with project managers, architects and development teams.
• Understand IT systems, data flows and technical constraints.
• Translate business problems and requirements into technically‑oriented solution concepts.
• Actively support the evaluation of solution options and target architectures.
• Plan, run and follow up on client workshops (remote and on‑site).
• Moderated, structured facilitation of discussions with diverse stakeholders.
• Document results, decisions and open issues.
• Build and maintain a trusting relationship with the client and show genuine interest in their challenges.
• Prepare complex content in a structured way for presentations, decision documents and white papers.
• Produce clear, understandable and consistent documentation for management and business units.
• Confident use of visual and textual presentation formats.
• High standards for structure, traceability and clarity.
• Active use of AI tools in your daily work (e.g. for analysis, structuring, documentation).
• Interest in understanding AI as an opportunity and integrating it sensibly into projects and ways of working.
• Openness to try and further develop new methods and tools.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in consulting or a consulting‑related role.
• Demonstrable experience in process capture and structuring.
• Work experience in an IT environment with an understanding of technical interrelationships.
• Proficiency in structured notations (e.g. BPMN).
• Practical, regular use of AI tools in daily work.
• Curiosity and client focus with a genuine interest in their problems and in developing appropriate solutions.
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to solve complex problems, identify process improvements and increase efficiency.
• Initiative, strong implementation skills and an independent, structured working style.
• Very good communication skills in German and English — able to present complex technical and business issues clearly for different audiences, especially management and clients.
• A completed degree, e.g. in Business Administration or Business Informatics, or a qualification with practical experience.
• Willingness to travel.
