Expert Customer Supply Chain & Demand Planning (all genders)

In this role you will drive forecast accuracy and inventory optimization for METRO Common Sourcing products across markets. You will bridge countries, Global Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, and customers to enable end-to-end, data-driven planning. Your work supports centralized demand planning and integrated business planning, elevating decision-making from execution to insight. You help ensure product availability and customer satisfaction at scale, contributing to a future-oriented supply chain transformation.

• Lead forecasting reviews with assigned countries and align with commercial and supply planning objectives
• Analyze inventory performance and optimize stock to protect service levels while improving working capital
• Apply demand analytics to identify patterns, biases, and root causes of deviations
• Support monthly Integrated Business Planning by providing forecast insights and mitigation actions
• Develop demand scenarios and assess impacts of promotions, assortment changes, and disruptions
• Coordinate product lifecycle planning for launches, changes, and seasonal items
• Act as super-user for planning tools, driving continuous improvement of forecasting methods and data quality
• Monitor and drive KPI improvements for Forecast Accuracy, Forecast Bias, Availability, Inventory Health, OTIF, and Service Levels

• 4-6 years in Supply Chain, Demand/Stock Planning, S&OP, or Integrated Business Planning
• Experience in international FMCG, Retail, Wholesale, Manufacturing, or Distribution
• Proven collaboration with stakeholders across countries and functions
• Planning systems exposure (Blue Yonder, SAP, Relex)
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data modeling)
• Experience with Looker, Power BI or similar analytics tools
• ERP/planning systems experience (Blue Yonder, Relex, SAP)
• Understanding of Integrated Demand & Supply planning system parameters (advantage)
