Export Control & Compliance Specialist (m/w/d)

In this role you support export control reviews, sanctions screening, and risk assessments to ensure regulatory compliance across DMG MORI. You will handle licensing processes, documentation, and interactions with authorities (BAFA) while maintaining compliance records and participating in audits and trainings. You contribute to the harmonization and strategic development of export control processes across the EMEA region. This position offers exposure to cross-functional regulatory work in a global manufacturing environment, with opportunities to build subject-matter expertise and travel as needed.

• Support export control reviews, sanctions screening, transaction assessments, and related risk assessments
• Assist with export licensing processes, documentation, and communication with regulatory authorities (BAFA)
• Maintain export control records, procedures, work instructions, and compliance documentation
• Participate in internal audits, compliance assessments, monitoring activities, and investigations
• Support the preparation and delivery of export control training and awareness programs
• Contribute to harmonization, centralization, and strategic development of export control processes across EMEA

• Previous experience in export control, customs, compliance, legal, logistics, supply chain, engineering, or international business (advantageous but not mandatory)
• Proactive learning and development of export control expertise
• Strong analytical skills, sound judgement, intellectual curiosity, proactive ownership of new topics
• Ability to work independently, willingness to travel outside Europe
• Clear and structured documentation of activities
