Stellenbeschreibung:

Salary: €45,000 - €55,000 + overtime, per diem and accommodation when travelling

Role type: Full-Time | Immediate Start

We’re working with a growing specialist business supporting some of the biggest hyperscale and colocation environments across Europe, and they’re looking for a hands-on Data Centre Field Service Engineer to join the team.

This is a field-based role focused on commissioning, maintenance, fault finding, and project ownership across critical cooling infrastructure within live data centre environments.

You’ll be working on systems such as Rear Door Heat Exchangers (RDHx), InRow Coolers, associated controls, and cooling water pipework across customer sites throughout Germany and wider Europe.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Installing, commissioning, and handing over mechanical and electrical systems within live data centre environments

  • Working on cooling water systems, pipework, leak testing, pressure testing, and final functional sign-off

  • Connecting and checking low-voltage controls (12V / 24V DC) and 240V AC power connections

  • Diagnosing faults across cooling systems, controllers, and associated electrical/mechanical components

  • Carrying out planned maintenance and reactive callouts across multiple European sites

  • Producing service reports, installation records, and technical documentation

  • Acting as the on-site technical lead, coordinating with customers, contractors, and internal teams

  • Managing projects from arrival on site through to successful handover

What we’re looking for:

  • Background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or similar technical field

  • Strong field service experience within data centres, critical environments, or industrial engineering

  • Mechanical-first engineers are particularly of interest, especially those comfortable learning the controls side

  • Experience with cooling systems, pipe fitting, HVAC, controls, or low-voltage systems would be highly beneficial

  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership on customer sites

  • Happy with regular travel across Germany and Europe, including periods working away from home

  • Strong English communication skills (German is beneficial but not essential)

  • Full driving licence and valid passport required

What’s on offer:

  • Long-term opportunity within a fast-growing data centre market

  • Exposure to major hyperscaler and colocation projects across Europe

  • Strong package including travel allowances and per diems
