Finance Business Partner Global Procurement (m/f/d)

As a Finance Business Partner for Global Procurement, you will translate procurement activity into financial insight that drives savings, profitability, and supplier performance. You will collaborate with Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance to turn procurement priorities into measurable targets and value. You’ll validate savings initiatives and support cost-down programs with data-driven business cases. This role sits at the intersection of finance and procurement, shaping strategic sourcing decisions and improving reporting and transparency. • Partner with Global Procurement and Supply Chain to support strategic sourcing decisions and supplier performance initiatives
• Challenge assumptions and provide fact-based financial insights for procurement strategies, negotiations, and cost optimization
• Translate procurement priorities into financial targets, savings plans, and performance indicators
• Lead financial validation of procurement savings initiatives and measure impact on profitability
• Support sourcing decisions with business cases, supplier evaluations, make-or-buy analyses, and total cost of ownership assessments
• Collaborate during sales and bid phases to inform procurement-related cost assumptions and subcontracting decisions
• Monitor supplier cost performance and identify risks impacting margins or operations
• Drive transparency across procurement spend, supplier performance, cost reduction initiatives, and working-capital impact
• Develop dashboards, reporting frameworks, and analytics to improve decision-making and transparency
• Contribute to continuous improvement, process standardization, and data quality across procurement and finance

• Commercially minded finance professional with business-facing experience
• Several years in procurement finance, material cost controlling, or operations controlling
• Experience in complex industrial environments (manufacturing, automation, industrial equipment)
• Proven track record in cost reduction initiatives, supplier cost analysis, and savings validation
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills to convert data into insights
• Understanding of procurement processes, supplier economics, category management, and TCO
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP; advanced Excel; Power BI is advantageous
• Ability to influence stakeholders and build cross-functional relationships in a global organization
• Experience with Chinese suppliers, procurement teams, manufacturing or Asian supply markets valued
• Fluent English; German a plus; Mandarin skills a plus
