Head of Finance & Controlling – Germany (m/f/d)

Permanent position – East of Hamburg

Our client is a well‑established pharmaceutical group specializing in hospital injectable products, combining long‑term vision, high‑quality standards, and sustained international growth.

The German entity (approx. 300 employees) operates a key manufacturing site within the group.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Finance Director and working in a matrix organization, you will also closely partner with the German Site Director and be part of the local management team.

As Head of Finance & Controlling, you will play a key role in structuring and driving financial performance, acting as a hands‑on business partner.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for financial controlling and site performance
• Responsible for cash flow, liquidity, and working capital
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking
• Ensure accurate reporting and compliance
• Oversee costs, CapEx, and pricing
• Lead and develop the finance team

Profile

• 5+ years’ experience in controlling within an international industrial environment
• A first experience in auditing would be an advantage
• Strong analytical and business partnering skills
• Hands‑on, structured, and results‑oriented
• First experience in team management appreciated

Skills

• Strong financial controlling and reporting expertise
• Advanced Excel, Power BI, ERP systems
• Fluent German and very good English
