Financial Accountant Group Accounting HGB, IFRS and Finance Transformation

Join Hannover Re as a Financial Accountant in the GFA-ACR General Ledger E+S team in Hannover. You will handle financial reporting under HGB and IFRS and contribute to regulatory reporting and process improvements. The role involves close collaboration with international branches and supporting the SAP S/4HANA migration. You will help shape efficient accounting processes in a dynamic, transformation‑driven environment. • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements under HGB and IFRS for Hannover Re entities
• Calculate and post provisions in SAP FI GL and reflect them in reporting systems
• Prepare, review, and submit regulatory reports to German supervisory authorities
• Coordinate intercompany reconciliations and implement accounting adjustments
• Support SAP S/4HANA migration project and optimize accounting processes
• Provide professional accounting guidance to international branches on financial reporting matters

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a comparable field of study
• Initial practical accounting experience (internships or working student roles)
• First exposure to quarterly and annual statements under HGB and IFRS
• Strong MS Excel skills and ideally knowledge of SAP FI GL and/or SAP S/4HANA
• Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
