Financial Accountant, Senior Accountant

Stellenbeschreibung:

Independently prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB
Support the preparation of the consolidated financial statements and consolidation processes within the group
Monitor and continuously improve closing and reporting processes with respect to quality and timeliness
Oversee central areas of financial accounting and ensure smooth, efficient operations
Reconcile general ledger and subledger accounts as well as intercompany postings
Act as a competent interface for external auditors, advisors and internal departments
Organize and accompany annual financial statement, tax and statutory audits
Provide specialist support to management on financial and accounting matters
Contribute to tax-related issues and the preparation of regulatory filings
Identify optimization potential within financial processes and implement improvements
Advance digital workflows, reporting tools and automation solutions
Participate in company-wide projects related to finance, reporting and compliance

Requirements

Degree in finance, accounting or controlling, or a comparable qualification (e.g., Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK))
Several years of practical experience in accounting, financial accounting or financial statement preparation
Solid knowledge of reporting under HGB and confident handling of annual financial statements
Experience in group accounting or consolidation processes is a plus
Confident manner in dealings with external auditors, tax advisors and internal stakeholders
Practical experience with ERP systems, ideally within a modern Microsoft-based environment
Excellent Excel skills and a strong numerical and process-oriented mindset
Enthusiasm for digital transformation, process optimization and modern finance organisations
Structured, independent and goal-oriented working style
Strong communication skills, analytical thinking and a high sense of responsibility
Good English skills for communication with international contacts
