Founder's Associate / Chief of Staff

Role Overview

Founder’s Associates are generalists who work directly with a company’s founder (usually the CEO) on strategic initiatives, marketing, operations, sales, fundraising, and more.

It offers exposure to a variety of business areas and can lead to roles such as Chief of Staff, individual contributor, management positions, or founding a startup.

Eligibility

We look for early‑career generalists who are eager to explore the full scope of startup building.

• High Potential Recent Graduates – recently finished university, ran a side hustle, led a student organization, or completed internships.
• Start‑/Scale‑Up Experience – prior work in a startup and seeking the next career step.
• Consulting / Investment Banking / Private Equity / Venture Capital Experience – high performance background without full accountability.
• Future or Former Founders – individuals who have founded a company or aspire to become a founder.

20% of openings are set aside for high‑potential candidates who do not speak German.

Requirements

• Permission to work in Germany.
• Fluency in German (B2 level or higher).
• Native knowledge of another EU language (Dutch, Spanish, Swedish, French, Italian, Polish) is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

Average salaries range from €55,000–€65,000 for Founder’s Associates and €70,000–€95,000 for Chief of Staff / Country Launcher profiles, with potential equity.

Remote Work

Applicants are expected to work in an office for the majority of the week; remote roles are rarely available.
