General Accounting Manager (m/f/d)

In this role you will lead the local accounting function, ensuring accurate monthly closes and statutory reporting while strengthening internal controls. You will partner with cross-functional teams to align local practices with US GAAP and corporate standards, and drive digitalisation in accounting processes. You will coach a regional accounting team, manage audits, and support ERP initiatives to enable safer, reliable operations. • Supervise and develop the local accounting team
• Lead monthly closing and reporting according to Local, US GAAP and Corporate standards
• Manage the closing checklist and journal entries for accruals and provisions
• Develop and maintain standard recurring journal entries; prepare intercompany reconciliations
• Analyze balance sheet and P&L movements; coordinate month-end reconciliations in OneStream
• Ensure compliance with direct tax processes and statutory reporting
• Coordinate statutory audits and assist with annual financial statements
• Oversee internal controls and update control memos; coordinate internal audits
• Standardize and simplify accounting practices; promote digital mindset in accounting
• Support ERP developments, upgrades or migrations; assist M&A activities as needed
• Perform other duties as requested

• Degree in finance, business or accounting
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Must have managed/supervised a team for at least two years
• Good knowledge of accounting, balance sheets and tax law
• Good ERP knowledge, ideally SAP
• Independent, organized and problem-solving
• Analytical with attention to detail
• Team player with good verbal and listening skills
• Proactive, digital mindset
• Good English and German language skills; French is a plus
