A leading international services organisation is seeking an experienced General Ledger Manager to lead its Record-to-Report function and drive finance transformation initiatives. The role combines operational accounting leadership with the opportunity to modernise processes, enhance controls, and support a major SAP S/4HANA Cloud implementation.

Salary 120K | Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes under IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, controls, audits, and governance activities.
• Drive process standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement across the General Ledger function.
• Support the integration of international accounting teams into a consistent operating model.
• Establish KPIs and performance measures to improve efficiency and quality.
• Develop and mentor the accounting team while partnering with finance leadership and external auditors.

Key Requirements

• Strong leadership experience within General Ledger or Record-to-Report functions in a complex international environment.
• Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and very good knowledge of IFRS; exposure to other local GAAP/statutory frameworks advantageous.
• Proven experience in finance transformation, process optimisation, and change management.
• Strong SAP knowledge, with SAP S/4HANA Cloud implementation experience viewed favourably.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent English; German language skills are beneficial.
