Global Business Development Director – Aerospace & Defense

Identifying, securing, and commercially managing all new and growth business opportunities
Drive the global Aerospace & Defense business development activities
Land new business and grow existing portfolio by building and managing relationships
Strengthen DSV’s position within the US defense ecosystem
Coordinate and manage projects during tender and implementation phases
Support Global Account Directors with large, strategic CL opportunities
Translate the global Aerospace & Defense strategy into focused Business Development initiatives
Drive growth within prioritized Aerospace & Defense subverticals
Define required and missing commercial products/services
Drive pipeline management based on opportunity size, conversion rates, strategic value
Support the development of differentiated Aerospace & Defense capabilities
Represent DSV in relevant industry forums, associations, trade events

Minimum Bachelor level degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
10+ years of experience within Aerospace & Defense and/or logistics business
Strong understanding of the US Aerospace & Defense market landscape
5+ years proven experience in senior customer-facing business development or account leadership roles
Strong network and relationship capabilities within Aerospace & Defense industry preferred
Experience working with complex RFQs/RFPs
Strong understanding of warehousing operations, supply chain resilience, inventory management
Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to Aerospace & Defense logistics preferred
Experience and success in large-scale BD projects
Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Ability to influence cross-functional teams
Ability to travel frequently within the US and internationally
Fluency in English
