Global Contract Manager (f/m/d)

In this role you will evolve and implement contract management processes across Freudenberg’s global organization, aligning with standards and driving digitalization. You will lead the replacement of the Contract Management System and shape a global lifecycle with review, approval, and signature workflows. You assess contracts from legal and commercial angles, manage risks with internal partners, and advance governance, compliance, and risk structures. You will act as a trusted advisor and trainer to international stakeholders, promoting best practices in contract management.

• Design and implement global contract management processes
• Lead system migration and change management for the Contract Management System replacement
• Create and optimize a global contract lifecycle with review, approvals, and signature workflows
• Assess contracts for legal and commercial risk; coordinate follow-up with Legal, Compliance or Product Compliance
• Enhance governance, compliance and risk management structures and transparency
• Improve contract retention, documentation and monitoring; promote digitalization and process excellence
• Establish and promote global contract management standards, policies and best practices
• Serve as advisor and trainer on contract management and compliance to international stakeholders

• Master in Business or Commercial Law or Economics with a strong legal focus
• Extensive experience in Contract Management within an in-house legal department
• Solid knowledge of contract law with business insights
• Experience in compliance environments, ideally Anti-Trust/Competition Law, Governance or Risk Management
• Proven project management experience, especially in process optimization, digital transformation or system implementation
• Ability to balance legal requirements with pragmatic business solutions
• Strong communication and negotiation skills; fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
• Experience with Contract Lifecycle Compliance Management systems is an advantage
