In this role, you will integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into procurement and subcontracting processes, driving sustainability and ethical sourcing across the supply chain. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners, support ESG training, and continuously improve practices to strengthen responsible supplier partnerships.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

Integrate ESG requirements into procurement strategies, processes, and procedures by collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to strengthen environmental sustainability and social responsibility.

Ensure compliance with ESG‑related regulations (e.g., LKSG, CSDDD) by identifying gaps and implementing due‑diligence, reporting, and training measures.

Serve as the central ESG point of contact within Procurement and Subcontracting Management to ensure consistent standards and reduced compliance risk.

Drive ESG improvement initiatives in procurement, balancing sustainability, efficiency, innovation, and cost effectiveness.

Develop and support ESG training for procurement teams and suppliers to strengthen ESG capabilities across the supply chain.

Monitor and report ESG performance using tools such as SAP Ariba and EcoVadis to enable data‑driven decisions and risk mitigation.

Partner with business units and leadership to align procurement optimization with corporate ESG objectives and secure stakeholder buy‑in.

Show your expertise

  • 7+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, sustainability, or ESG‑related roles, preferably in a corporate or multinational environment, with ESG consulting experience considered an asset.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, ESG or Sustainable Procurement certifications preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ESG principles, sustainable procurement, responsible sourcing, and relevant regulations such as LKSG and CSDDD.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing ESG strategies within procurement, including supplier engagement, risk assessment, due diligence, and compliance monitoring.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and with suppliers to drive sustainability initiatives.
  • Experience in developing ESG training and capacity‑building programs for procurement teams and suppliers.
  • Analytical and results‑driven mindset with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Proficiency in procurement and sustainability tools such as SAP, SAP Ariba, and EcoVadis, as well as Excel, PowerPoint, and ESG reporting.
  • Fluent English required and German advantageous.
