PROCUREMENT LEAD Interior & Exterior

Your role

To own a Procurement Category in Interior & Exterior end‑to‑end, including leadership and development of the procurement strategy, ensuring the right parts are in the right place at the right time so that purchasing can secure the best commercial terms and conditions in line with the business group strategy, and to own the supplier relationships for the suppliers related to those categories.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all procurement activities related to the selected category Interior & Exterior .
• Identify and source the components and systems with the best technical and commercial fit to the vehicle and operations requirements.
• Prepare, coordinate and execute sourcing decisions for selected commodities and the full category – all decisions aligned with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and procurement.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure balanced commercial terms considering technical feasibility, volume demands, quality and manufacturing requirements.
• Fulfil all relevant project targets regarding material and tooling cost as well as timeline.
• Constantly observe the global supply market for changes that affect our business.
• Develop and align cross‑functional category strategies considering global supply market developments and internal requirements.
• Identify, evaluate and countermeasure risks associated with the supply chain of the selected category.
• Manage and coordinate raw material fluctuations with suppliers and commodities across the whole category.
• Establish and secure reliable supply chains during serial production.
• Support the Procurement Manager in developing and delivering the transition strategy for procurement from project to operation.
• Help drive and deliver all procurement activities of the project phase, e.g. through close cooperation with the cost engineers.
• Work closely with Engineering, Commercial and Industrialisation to agree future demand plans, materials and equipment.
• Network with the wider INEOS organisation to maximise group leverage possibilities.

Requirements

• Ideally 8–10 years’ experience at a Tier 1/2 automotive supplier or automotive OEM.
• Direct knowledge of automotive procurement from concept through industrialisation to operation, with a focus on Interior & Exterior.
• Significant automotive supply‑chain / procurement know‑how gained over a long career in automobile manufacturing.
• Excellent project‑management skills with a track record of delivery.
• Ability to build and maintain senior supplier relationships.
• Demonstrable strategic procurement experience and/or NPI (New Product Introduction).
• Strong prioritisation, time‑management and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability for significant travel.
• Good proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
• Experience with SAP desirable; training will be provided.
• Fluent English mandatory; German beneficial.
