Global Sourcing Manager – Packaging Focus

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for packaging materials, including primary, secondary and tertiary packaging
• Identify, evaluate and onboard new suppliers while maintaining strong relationships with existing strategic partners
• Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, contracts, service agreements and long‑term supply contracts
• Analyze global market trends, raw material developments and supplier capacities to identify opportunities and mitigate risks
• Drive cost‑reduction initiatives while maintaining quality, performance and service standards
• Collaborate with packaging engineering, quality and manufacturing teams to provide support
• Manage supplier performance through KPIs, scorecards, audits and business reviews
• Support sustainability objectives by sourcing environmentally responsible packaging solutions and reducing the environmental impact of packaging
• Manage supplier risk assessments, business continuity planning and supply chain resilience initiatives
• Build and maintain market intelligence on packaging technologies, materials and supplier landscapes in global markets

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Packaging Engineering, Business Administration or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or category management, with substantial experience in packaging sourcing
• Experience sourcing packaging materials such as flexible packaging, rigid plastics, glass, labels, cartons and related components
• Proven track record in supplier negotiation and delivering measurable cost savings
• Strong knowledge of global sourcing markets, supplier management and procurement best practices
• Strong analytical, financial and contract management skills
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
