Ground Systems Engineer

We’re looking for Ground Software Engineers to support the development of next-generation ground control and support systems within a fast-moving defence technology environment.

This role focuses on building user interfaces and control software for mission-critical systems, working closely with engineering teams in a highly technical, first-principles environment.

You’ll be developing software for Ground Control Systems and Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), helping deliver robust, real-world operational capability.

Skills & Experience

• Experience building applications using Qt
• Background in software engineering within fast-paced or highly technical environments
• Strong problem-solving ability and comfort working in ambiguous / 0→1 environments
• Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Experience with Ground Control Systems (GCS) or EGSE software
• Defence, aerospace, or mission-critical systems experience
• Startup or early-stage engineering environment exposure
• Experience developing control logic or hardware-interfacing software
