About the role: We are seeking an Accountant based in Tübingen, Baden‑Württemberg, to take full ownership of the bookkeeping and financial reporting for Solar Trade Holding (STH). This role is critical as we transition these responsibilities in‑house from an external provider, enhancing accuracy, timeliness, and cost efficiency. You will manage core accounting processes, VAT returns, and financial forecasting, directly contributing to the financial stability and operational success of our business.

Responsibilities

• You manage all bookkeeping tasks for our Holding company, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• You oversee the electronic invoice approval process and ensure correct coding to GL accounts and cost centers.
• You prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with German regulations.
• You handle monthly SAP reporting and support financial planning during our planning and forecasting cycles.
• You contribute to liquidity forecasting and ensure timely financial insights for decision-making.

Qualifications

• You bring solid experience in German accounting and VAT regulations, with a strong understanding of local compliance requirements.
• You have hands‑on experience in bookkeeping and financial reporting, ideally within SAP, DATEV or similar.
• You are detail‑oriented and reliable, with the ability to manage deadlines and ensure data accuracy.
• You have experience in implementing accounting systems or improving financial processes.
• You are proactive and solution-oriented, with a mindset for continuous improvement.
• You communicate clearly and work well across teams to support financial transparency and efficiency.
