The Diakonie-Klinikum Stuttgart is seeking you to join us as soon as possible in a full-time position as

• f the IT Department

• Strategic development of IT at the Diakonie-Klinikum and its affiliated companies (MVZ)
• Development and implementation of a forward-looking IT and digitalization strategy in coordination with management and the relevant departments
• Advising hospital management on all strategic and operational IT matters
• Overall responsibility for the management of the IT department in technical, organizational, and strategic terms
• Leadership, support, and professional development of IT department staff
• Ensuring stable, secure, and cost-effective IT operations for all clinical, nursing, administrative, and technical areas
• Planning, managing, supporting, and prioritizing specialized and cross-functional IT projects, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, applications, digitalization, IT security, and interface management
• Further development of the existing system landscape, as well as responsibility for the availability, performance, and future-proofing of the IT infrastructure
• Management of external IT service providers, partners, and suppliers, including contract, quality, and escalation management
• Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements, particularly in the areas of data protection, information security, and compliance
• Responsibility for the further development and monitoring of IT security within the framework of IT risk management, in collaboration with the Information Security and Data Protection Officers
• Supporting and guiding change processes and digitalization projects throughout the hospital
• Responsibility for budget planning, resource management, and the efficient allocation of funds in the IT sector

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Medical Informatics, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional and leadership experience in a comparable position
• Ideally, experience in the hospital or healthcare sector
• In-depth knowledge of industry-standard applications, international standards and profiles, and interfaces, as well as solid expertise in IT infrastructure, IT operations, IT security, digitalization, and processes
• Experience managing complex IT projects and external service providers
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Strategic mindset, strong execution skills, and a service-oriented approach
