Head of Accounting (m/f/x)

Lead and scale Scalable Capital’s Accounting function to ensure compliant and efficient financial reporting. You will drive cross-functional initiatives, automate processes, and manage close cycles in collaboration with auditors and tax advisors. You’ll shape booking logic in our core banking system, ensuring accurate, scalable accounting. This role supports the company’s growth across Europe and contributes to high-quality financial stewardship.

• Lead and scale the Accounting function for HGB and IFRS requirements
• Design, standardize, and automate accounting processes across workstreams
• Own cross-functional accounting projects with internal and external partners
• End-to-end responsibility for monthly and annual close and tax reporting
• Contribute to booking logic and posting patterns in the in-house core banking system

• Extensive experience in financial accounting under HGB and tax matters
• Hands-on experience with preparing consolidated annual financial statements and managing external audit
• Knowledge of VAT and related reporting requirements
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, structured, and strong problem-solving skills
• Business-fluent in German and English
