Responsibilities

As a Department Head in the EW Application Solutions division, you will be responsible for translating business requirements into digital solutions and for the functional and disciplinary management of the development teams in analysis, design, and implementation.
You will take on the operational management of resources for projects and ongoing tasks in order to maximize efficiency and achieve project goals.
Your responsibilities will also include ensuring stable system operation of the entire EW-DI, including monitoring, incident management, and performing updates, patches, and maintenance work.
In addition, you will be responsible for resource and capacity management for internal and external employees in the areas of engineering and application management.
Stakeholder management with specialist departments and other EW-DI functions to translate business and architecture requirements rounds off your job profile.

Requirements

You have successfully completed a master's degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable qualification.
In addition, you have several years of experience in leading teams or projects, ideally in the energy or IT environment. Experience in managing development teams and highly available application and system landscapes.
Your personality is characterized by a high degree of initiative, a sense of responsibility, assertiveness, teamwork, and strong communication skills, combined with a structured and results-oriented approach to work.

Functional and disciplinary management responsibility for the EW Application Solutions department, including leadership, control, and further development of the department within EW-DI, including personnel management. Ensuring a high-performance development and operations organization with high delivery quality and stability based on transparent KPIs. Overall responsibility for the stable and high-performance operation of applications, including monitoring, incident and problem management, as well as continuous modernization and optimization of the application landscape. Promotion of engineering excellence and agile working methods as well as quality assurance.
