Head of Business Area Rolling Stock and Rail Vehicles (w/m/d)

Tasks

• Overall responsibility for managing the Rolling Stock and Rail Vehicle Business Area, and the assigned departments in Germany
• Responsibility for implementing the Business Line strategy and achieving business objectives
• Commercial responsibility for the business area
• Line management and technical leadership of the assigned managers
• Responsibility for day-to-day operations
• Managing collaboration with other business areas
• Sustainable development of the portfolio and innovations
• Responsibility for leveraging market potential and implementing the business unit strategy
• Implementation of quality, occupational health and safety, compliance, and sustainability objectives

Qualifications

• Successfully completed university degree in engineering, natural sciences, or a comparable field
• Extensive industry and market knowledge in the field of rolling stock / rail vehicles, particularly in approval and conformity assessment procedures for complete rail vehicles and their components
• Several years of relevant professional experience in commercial and strategic responsibility for comparable organizational departments/units
• Extensive experience in strengths-based leadership of managers
• Strong customer and service orientation, combined with enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Above-average commitment, enthusiasm for networking, and the ability to motivate employees and managers
• Outgoing and confident manner
• Willingness to travel, primarily within Germany and Europe
• Business fluent in German and English Language written and spoken
