Head of Credit Risk (m/f/d) - Berlin

We are looking for a Head of Risk to lead and stabilize our risk organization during a phase of rapid growth. This role replaces our interim leadership and is critical for building a long-term, scalable risk function that enables sustainable growth. You will lead a growing team, manage a rapidly expanding credit portfolio, and build the processes, systems, and culture required for scale. This is not a maintenance role. This is a build-and-lead role. You will work directly with the founder and leadership team and have full ownership of the risk function.

Aufgaben

• Lead and develop the Risk team, creating clarity, structure, and strong performance standards
• Own credit underwriting quality and portfolio performance across B2B and B2C
• Build scalable risk processes, policies, and decision frameworks to support rapid growth
• Drive automation, efficiency, and data‑driven decision‑making in the risk function
• Balance growth and risk while ensuring losses remain within defined risk appetite
• Work hands‑on where needed while shaping the long‑term risk strategy

Qualifikation

• Strong experience in credit risk and underwriting, ideally across both B2B and consumer lending
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to build and develop high‑performing teams
• A hands‑on mindset combined with strategic thinking
• The ability to operate effectively in fast‑changing, imperfect environments
