Head of Customer Service – Chemical Products

Responsibilities

• In this position of responsibility, you will be in charge of the technical and managerial leadership of the European Customer Service Team (Hanau, Germany & Shannon, Ireland).
• Some travel required.
• You will ensure that the processes for handling precious metal chemical product orders run smoothly and work to further develop them.
• In this role, you will also be responsible for implementing and ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines of the business.
• Additionally, you will coordinate processing-related and cross-site issues, projects, and IT projects.
• By collaborating with our internal departments such as Sales, Business Development, Innovation, Logistics, Production Control, and Production, as well as with our customers, you will professionally and purposefully resolve the operational challenges of our business.
• Active member of the Chemical Products Commercial Leadership Team, helping drive commercial strategy and business performance.

Requirements

• A successfully completed apprenticeship as an industrial clerk and further training as an industrial business administrator, or a degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or Industrial Engineering.
• Several years of professional experience in international sales, customer service, supply chain management, or similar fields.
• Substantial leadership experience.
• Strong technical understanding and proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience with SAP, specifically in the practical application of SAP modules to support and optimize business processes.
• Business-level proficiency in spoken and written English.
• An open-minded team player who keeps a cool head even during high-pressure situations.
