Head of Metallurgical Production (m/f/d)

We are looking for a manufacturing company in the metallurgical process industry, based in the western Ruhr region, to fill the following position as soon as possible:

Head of Metallurgical Production (m/f/d).

What awaits you

• You will assume personnel and organizational responsibility for a demanding metallurgical production area.
• A key focus is leading and developing the subordinate management team, as well as establishing clear and reliable accountability structures.
• You will strengthen collaboration within the division and foster the long-term development of the team structure.
• You identify organizational and personnel challenges early on and implement appropriate measures to stabilize the division.
• You will continuously refine technical processes and operational workflows while taking quality, cost-effectiveness, and deadlines into account.
• You use relevant operational and process data to manage your area of responsibility and for internal reporting.
• In addition, you support operational projects and actively contribute to their successful implementation.
• You ensure compliance with occupational safety, health, and environmental protection requirements, as well as other legal and regulatory requirements, within your area of responsibility.

What you should bring

• You hold a degree in engineering with a focus on metallurgy, process engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• Alternatively, you have a comparable qualification and extensive industrial process expertise.
• Several years of professional experience in a metallurgical or comparable process-intensive production environment form an important foundation for this role.
• Your leadership experience is particularly crucial: You provide direction, foster commitment, and systematically develop both employees and managers.
• Even in challenging personnel and organizational contexts, you act with confidence, consistency, and respect.
• You combine a solid understanding of technical and metallurgical processes with business acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Initiative, a sense of responsibility, flexibility, and a confident demeanor round out your profile.
• You have a good command of English and are proficient in using standard MS Office applications.
• The required occupational health clearance for an industrial production environment is a prerequisite.
