Your mission that drives sustainability in logistics

As Head of Terminal Services – Intermodal Terminals (Rail/Road), you are responsible for designing, optimising and scaling high-impact terminal processes across our network. You establish a KPI-driven performance management system, lead cross-terminal quality governance with partners, and support operational and commercial onboarding for new terminals.

What you’ll do

• Own the development and optimisation ofhighly effective terminal processes across the CargoBeamer network
• Build and embed ametrics-driven performance management setup for all terminals to enable continuous improvement
• Drivecapacity and budget planning
• Identify improvement opportunities usinginternal/external benchmarks and best practices for terminal quality and performance
• Leadquality councils with third-party terminals and service providers to ensure high standards and strengthen partnerships
• Standardisetools, steering methods, documentation, and develop/roll outAI use cases in terminal services
• Support local teams with theoperational and commercial onboarding of new terminals
• Design and implementtraining programmes for terminal staff; lead international teams
• Support Business Development by conductingterminal screenings in defined target regions aligned with strategic goals
• Contribute to projects introducing new technologies or systems to further optimise terminal processes

Your Background & Skills

• Degree in Business Administration, Transport Economics, Logistics or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in similar roles withinterminals, logistics, warehousing orground operations in the transport sector
• Experience leadinginternational teams
• Strong expertise inprocess optimisation,performance management, and ideallyquality management
• Experience withproject management methods and tools, preferably inrail freight / intermodal logistics
• Knowledge ofinternational rail standards and regulations is an advantage
• Experience working withinternational partners and suppliers
• Fluent German and English (negotiation level); additional European languages are welcome
• Confident user of MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
