Head of the Product Competence Department (d/w/m)

In this role you lead the Product Competence Department and its laboratory, shaping analytics-driven product applications. You drive innovation and develop the application portfolio in collaboration with Product Management, while ensuring high-quality support for Sales, R&D, and Service. You guide customer-facing activities, from measurements to training and editorial work, and you represent customer needs in development projects. Your leadership and technical expertise help elevate our analytical measurement capabilities and compliance, across worldwide customer interactions.

• Provide technical and managerial leadership to the 6-member Product Competence Team
• Coordinate all activities in the application laboratory as laboratory manager
• Drive innovation and further development of products and application portfolios
• Serve as the main contact for application support and customer inquiries, advising on applications and measurements
• Coordinate measurements of customer samples, validations, software tests, editorial work, publications, and training for the sales team
• Participate in development projects as the customer-facing perspective
• Serve on national and international standards committees and oversee participation in interlaboratory tests
• Occasionally travel to visit customers worldwide

• degree in chemistry, biochemistry, food technology, materials science, or a related field
• several years of experience in personnel management, laboratory management, and administrative tasks
• in-depth knowledge of analytical measurement techniques
• experience in statistical analysis of test results and in verifying instrument performance
• meticulous, responsible, and highly customer-oriented
