Engineer for Construction and Structural Mechanics (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Handling construction orders in mechanical and plant engineering while adhering to applicable standards.
• Independently designing assemblies.
• Participating in the development and further development of machines and systems as well as their components.
• Developing and designing conceptual solutions and customer requirements.
• Preparing manufacturing documents (drawings and parts lists).
• Technical project support from offer to project handover.
• Proactive collaboration with other departments.
• Creating feasibility analyses during the offer phase.

Qualifications

• Degree from a recognized technical college or university, preferably as a designer with many years of experience in mechanical engineering/special plant engineering.
• Basic knowledge in creating metallic welded constructions (preferably with a qualification as a welding specialist/welding engineer – desirable but not mandatory).
• Experience in the mechanical processing of components and their constructive design, manufacturing knowledge in metal construction, extensive experience in selecting mechanical standard components such as motors, gears, couplings, etc.
• Extensive experience in conducting structural analyses using FEM calculations and creating analysis reports.
• Proficient in CAD tools (preferably CATIA) and standard software tools (MS Office).
• Reflective, structured, careful working style combined with strong teamwork skills.
• Willingness for occasional business trips (possibly also internationally).
• Communication skills in dealing with customers.
• Proficient in German and English.
