HVAC‑R Superintendent

Join our team as an HVAC‑R Superintendent and contribute to the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our vessels. In this role, you will ensure the high performance and continuous improvement of our Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC‑R) systems while working closely with both onboard and shore‑side teams.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safe, reliable, efficient and environmentally compliant operation of all HVAC‑R systems
• Plan and execute all HVAC and refrigeration‑related operations, including maintenance, day‑to‑day activities, improvements and technical modifications for assigned vessels
• Foster a strong safety and environmental protection culture through close collaboration with onboard and shore‑based teams
• Conduct regular inspections onboard, including project‑related and shipyard period inspections
• Plan and actively participate in all Dry Dock activities
• Manage HVAC items and maintenance processes (spare parts, consumables, procedures and instructions)
• Review, update and optimize maintenance procedures and manage item setup within Infoship
• Structure, organize and maintain all HVAC‑R documentation and technical information

Qualifications:

• A degree in HVAC, refrigeration or a maritime technical field such as ship operation, shipbuilding, outfitting, service or engineering; alternatively, a comparable technical qualification
• Practical experience in project coordination or project management is an advantage
• Solid hands‑on experience working with HVAC‑R systems in a maritime environment, ideally on cruise ships, large ferries or yachts
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with systems such as Infoship, Amos or similar software is desirable
• Experience leading small project teams is beneficial
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and a structured, solution‑oriented working style
