This position is located in the DoWEA Europe Office of the Director, SPED Support Team in Sembach, Germany.
Federal employees in Sembach are currently entitled to receive a 42% Post Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary.

To qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
A Master's degree in the field of Speech Language Pathology . The course work must have been completed at or accepted by a regionally accredited U.S. college or university.
Specialized experience is experience gained in Speech-Language Pathology or closely related educational settings that has clearly demonstrated successful application of the principles, methods, and techniques of speech-language pathology in PK-12 educational environments. This includes experience in conducting speech-language assessments and evaluations; interpreting data to determine eligibility and educational impact; developing and implementing evidence-based intervention strategies; collaborating and consulting with multidisciplinary teams; supporting the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems; monitoring student progress; and applying knowledge of special education procedures, compliance requirements, and current developments in PK-12 education and training. and familiarity with current developments in PreK-12th grade education and training. This experience must have been in Speech Language Pathology.
Speech-Language Pathology and/or Special Education at a district or higher level to include providing leadership, consultation, coaching, and technical assistance to speech-language pathologists, special educators, and school administrators; supporting the implementation of evidence-based practices across schools; analyzing program effectiveness and student outcome data; supporting speech-language services within core instruction and collaborative and/or co-teaching service delivery models and knowledge and experience supporting assistive technology and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) implementation across educational settings.
Applicants must be currently certified or certifiable under the current DoWEA standards in Speech Language Pathology certification area. The Speech-Language Pathology ISS must hold and maintain a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
