Interim Finance Manager

Overview

EMEA Recruitment is supporting a specialist pharmaceutical manufacturing organization as it looks to hire an Interim Finance Manager for its site in Frankfurt, Germany. This is a hands‑on interim assignment, required to support the business during a key transition period following the planned departure of the current Finance Director. The role is expected to run for 4 months, with an ideal start as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Managing day‑to‑day finance operations for the site
• Supporting month‑end close, reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Preparing group reporting and management reports
• Working with SAP FI and Excel in a partially manual finance environment
• Supporting budgeting, cost analysis, and inventory‑related finance topics
• Acting as a key finance contact for local and group stakeholders
• Helping maintain finance continuity during the transition period

Qualifications

• Strong hands‑on finance experience, ideally within site finance, controlling, or finance management
• Experience with month‑end close, reporting, forecasting, and analysis
• Strong SAP FI and Excel skills
• IFRS experience, with HGB knowledge beneficial
• Fluent German and English
• Manufacturing, production, pharmaceutical, or life sciences experience would be highly beneficial
• Pragmatic, operational mindset with the ability to adapt quickly
