Investment Analyst – Investment, M&A & Fundraising Advisory

Responsibilities

• Support for investment and fundraising projects — from initial analysis to successful completion
• Preparation of financial models, business plans and investor presentations to evaluate business models and investment opportunities
• Market, competitor and company analyses to identify trends and investment opportunities
• Preparation for and participation in client meetings, pitches and investor discussions
• Involvement in M&A transactions, including company valuation, due diligence and transaction structuring
• Preparation of decision papers and research reports for management and investors
• Continuous monitoring of capital markets and relevant industry developments

Requirements

• Successfully completed degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• Initial practical experience in investment banking, corporate finance, venture capital, private equity or consulting is an advantage
• Strong analytical skills and confident handling of financial models and common tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, and where applicable PitchBook/Capital IQ/Mergermarket/Crunchbase)
• Strong interest in entrepreneurship, capital markets and strategic corporate development
• Structured, precise and independent working style — also under time pressure
• Very good written and spoken German and English
• Team spirit, initiative and willingness to take responsibility in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment

Core Competencies

Demonstrates expertise in financial modeling, business analysis, and investment evaluation, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in tools like Excel and PowerPoint. Capable of conducting market research and participating in M&A transactions while effectively communicating in both German and English.
