Investment Banking Associate (Healthcare) Frankfurt

We are partnering with a leading international investment bank to appoint an Associate within its Healthcare Investment Banking team in Frankfurt.

The platform is recognised for advising private equity investors, founder‑led businesses, and corporates on complex M&A and strategic advisory engagements across Europe. The successful candidate will join a highly collaborative team with strong cross‑border deal flow and significant exposure to senior bankers and clients.

Previous healthcare experience is advantageous but not essential. We are keen to speak with candidates who have gained solid M&A execution experience within any sector team and are interested in developing deeper healthcare expertise.

Responsibilities

• Execute buy‑side and sell‑side M&A transactions across the healthcare sector
• Build and review complex financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials
• Prepare presentations, information memoranda, management materials, and client deliverables
• Conduct industry and company research to support both live transactions and business development initiatives
• Coordinate due diligence processes and manage interactions with clients, investors, and external advisors
• Support senior bankers in originating new business opportunities and maintaining client relationships
• Mentor and help develop junior team members

Candidate Requirements

• 2 to 6 years of investment banking, M&A advisory, or corporate finance experience
• Currently operating at Associate level or a strong Analyst ready to step up
• Excellent financial modelling and valuation capabilities
• Demonstrated transaction execution experienceHealthcare sector exposure is preferred but not required
• Strong commercial awareness and client‑facing skills
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced environment
• Fluent German and English are essential
• Outstanding academic background
