About the role

Our Treasury team members are among the first in the company to get involved in new business initiatives that shape how we grow and scale. They help set up our payment and financial risk management infrastructure by working across functions, products, and regions to centrally manage risks.

We're looking for a Treasury Investment Manager to manage liquidity and short-term investments. You'll oversee yield optimisation, using money market instruments, FX swaps, and bonds, as well as associated risk management activities.

What you'll be doing

• Managing liquidity by formulating and executing investment strategies for fixed income securities, money markets, short-term interest rates, and FX (including derivatives)
• Building models and other analytical tools to increase portfolio returns and risk management capabilities, driving model-based portfolio optimisation
• Negotiating and enhancing commercial terms with counterparties
• Overseeing treasury-related risks (liquidity risk, interest rate risk, FX risk, etc.) and procedures (front office)
• Driving projects to improve infrastructure, enabling the optimisation of our liquidity profile
• Supporting broader company strategy by providing treasury-related analysis on initiatives
• Providing monthly updates to ALCO on liquidity-related mattersMaintaining up-to-date knowledge on liquidity as it relates to the market and regulatory requirements

What you'll need

• Front office experience in trading at a major Australian financial institution
• Expertise in managing fixed income, FX, credit, or repo portfolio (either in a treasury, market making, or portfolio management function)
• Impeccable quantitative capabilities and demonstrable experience in enhancing returns through use of analytical tools
• A proactive approach to solving problems
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to understand complex financial concepts and break them down into smaller pieces
• A bachelor's degree in a quantitative subject
