IT Consultant / Advisor for inpatient billing (m/f/d)

Hospitals today face the challenge of designing complex billing processes efficiently, digitally, and in compliance with legal requirements, more than ever before. As a link between IT, medical controlling, and administration, we optimize our clients' administrative processes. Join our team as an IT Consultant for Inpatient Billing (m/f/d) and actively support hospitals in the digitalization and optimization of their billing systems. Comprehensive consulting: You will provide expert advice to hospitals on all aspects of inpatient billing. Process optimization: You will analyze, optimize, and further develop billing processes throughout the entire inpatient treatment process (from admission to payment receipt). Interfacing: You will work closely with coding specialists, medical controlling, and hospital administration. Auditing: You will conduct detailed process analyses in the areas of patient admission, service documentation, data transmission, and billing. Data exchange: You will provide operational advice and support for electronic data exchange in accordance with Section 301 of the German Social Code, Book V (SGB V). Operational support: You will provide direct support to hospitals – flexibly on‑site or remotely, depending on project requirements. Knowledge transfer: You will design and lead training courses and coaching sessions for hospital staff on current billing topics. Digitalization: You will actively participate in projects for the digitalization and automation of billing processes. Reporting: Creating well‑founded recommendations for action, presentations, and management reports is also part of your responsibilities.

• Berufserfahrung: Mehrjährige, fundierte Berufserfahrung in der stationären Patientenabrechnung eines Krankenhauses.
• Fachwissen: Sehr gute Kenntnisse im G-DRG-System , der Fallabrechnung sowie der relevanten gesetzlichen und vertraglichen Grundlagen (z. B. KHEntgG, FPV, PrüfvV).
• § 301 SGB V Expertise: Umfassende Kenntnisse des § 301 SGB V sowie praktische Erfahrung im elektronischen Datenträgeraustausch mit Kostenträgern.
• Prozessverständnis: Ein tiefgehendes Verständnis für alle Krankenhausprozesse – von der administrativen Aufnahme bis zur finalen Abrechnung.
• IT-Affinität: Sicherheit im Umgang mit gängigen Krankenhausinformationssystemen (KIS) und spezieller Abrechnungssoftware.
• Soft Skills: Analytisches Denkvermögen, eine strukturierte Arbeitsweise und die Fähigkeit, komplexe Sachverhalte verständlich zu vermitteln.
• Das Gewisse Extra: Erfahrung im Medizincontrolling oder in einer vergleichbaren beratenden Funktion ist von Vorteil.
