IT PROJECT MANAGER (m/f/d)

As IT Project Manager you own medium-to-high complexity IT initiatives, from platform rollouts to AI deployments, across multiple locations. You’ll manage plans, milestones, budgets and risk, coordinating internal teams and external partners to deliver on time and within scope. You’ll lead large programmes, shape the IT project management framework and ensure stakeholder alignment at senior levels. This role combines transformation projects with international delivery, offering a chance to influence digital initiatives across the group.

• Own delivery of IT projects of medium to high complexity (platform rollouts, system integrations, AI deployments)
• Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, resource plans and risk registers
• Coordinate internal and external project stakeholders including IT, business units and senior management
• Ensure compliance with quality, timeline and budget targets
• Lead large-scale projects and programmes (budget > 500K, multi-country)
• Build and develop the IT project management framework
• Create and monitor project budgets, forecasting and variance analysis
• Control costs for external providers and software licenses
• Assess and approve change requests
• Deliver budget reports to Head of IT and senior management
• Lead international project teams across locations and time zones
• Maintain consistent project communication in multilingual teams
• Navigate cultural differences with sensitivity
• Prepare and deliver project presentations at management level (German & English)
• Own portfolio-level reporting to senior management
• Create decision papers, status reports and executive summaries
• Facilitate steering committees and project reviews
• Serve as escalation authority for critical projects
• Mentor junior and regular project managers

• Degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration, Engineering or comparable
• Several years of experience leading IT projects, including international experience
• Experience with budget ownership and commercial project management
• Proficiency with PM tools (MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps)
• PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification mandatory
• Experience leading transformation projects (AI, ERP, cloud)
• Strong executive presence and boardroom experience
• Excellent facilitation and conflict resolution skills
• Business-fluent German and English; intercultural competence; willingness to travel
