IT Solution Architect Principal II - UX/UI

Job Summary

The SAP UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience) Solution Architect is responsible for defining, designing, and governing the end-to-end user experience strategy across the SAP landscape. This role ensures intuitive, efficient, and role-based user interfaces that align with business processes, enterprise architecture standards, and SAP best practices. The architect leads the design and implementation of SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and related UX technologies while ensuring integration with backend SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA) and other enterprise applications. This position reports to the SAP Modernization Solution Architect Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Partner and collaborate with all stakeholders to understand and translate goals and objectives into architecture, roadmaps and capability models.
• Look across applications, infrastructure, technology components and data to develop roadmaps and capability models that outline how technology solutions are and will be structured.
• Create and maintain reusable artifacts and patterns, harvesting artifacts across initiatives.
• Develop policies, standards, guidelines, procedures and metrics that measure architectural quality and business outcomes.
• Engage with implementation teams to encourage and promote use of existing models, methods, services and other artifacts, increasing speed of solution delivery and predictability.
• Research architectural paradigms and modern architecture constructs, including continuous delivery and micro services.
• Ensure compatibility with existing solutions infrastructure, services and strategic requirements.
• Act as a bridge among various parties during implementation of architecture components and their integration.
• Communicate the objectives and business outcomes of the technology architecture and the associated use cases within the organization.
• Provide support and leadership to inform and aid evaluation and decision making in technology spending.
• Participate in ecosystem strategy development, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, value cases and business innovation portfolio development.

Job Specific Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Information Sciences preferred, or related field.
• 10 years of work experience in technology solution engineering; 12+ years without a degree.
• 3-5 years of experience working with SAP Fiori/UI5 architecture.
• Experience working on UI/UX solution architecture for at least one full cycle S/4HANA implementation.
• Strong understanding of SAR Gateway, OData Services, CDS Views, Fiori Launchpad.
• Thorough understanding of SAP UI5, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Hands‑on experience designing enterprise‑scale UX solutions.
• Department of Energy's regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.

Desired Qualifications

• SAP Fiori/IU5 certification.
• Experience with SAP BTP and Fiori on BTP.
• Knowledge of SAP Build Apps/low‑code solutions.
• Experience with large‑scale SAP Utility projects.
• Understanding of SAP Cloud ALM.
• Experience with automated test integration.
